How Healthy is your Lifestyle?
Do you take care of yourself? I mean really take care of yourself? Think about that question honestly. Most of us like to tell ourselves that, yes, we do, in fact take care of ourselves. Most of us are, sadly, telling ourselves a lie. That, at various phases in my life, includes me.
I chose a career in the service oriented wholistic health industry. As a Master Esthetician, and a Yoga Instructor registered with the Yoga Alliance, it is imperative that I take care of myself. I must practice what I preach. Otherwise, I am worse than a mere hypocrite. It would be wrong to always tell my clients and students to eat right, exercise, de-stress, etc., if I did not do it myself. If I don’t follow the lifestyle standards I talk about, why should I think my clients will?
The same is true for you. You must know the componants that make-up a healthy lifestyle. And you must implement them in your own life if you want to enjoy life t the fullest.
You may not be in a career that demands it. But you may be parent trying to raise a healthy child (our children learn from example). Or you may be a part-time or full time caregiver for someone. Or you may simply be telling yourself that you know you need to live a healthy lifestyle… and convincing yourself you do.
Over the next few posts, I will address the various componants of a healthy lifestyle, and show you how easy it is to shift from your present way of life to one that keeps you healthy, happy, and full of vitality, no matter what your circumstances. Stay tuned!
Until then, Namaste…
